A lot of things say to stay away from herbs , but how I see it they are natural like fruit or veggies and good for my body so i think they can't be harmful to my babies body! i have been drinking herbal teas since the first day I found out I was pregnant and now I am 38 weeks and have had the most perfect pregnancy possible! Just be sure your tea doesn't have caffeine in it…

Absolutely. They tell you to stay away from herbs because they want you to take chemical medications. It's a good way to get a mother thinking that herbs are bad and then they won't give them to your children. I'm going to be a master herbalist so that it gives an alternative to the chemicals that people are killing themselves with. Not to mention make it affordable so people can get health care, without the side effects. Enjoy your tea!

In my experience, the herbs you will get in a commercially available drink such as a chai you get at a coffee shop are in such small quantities that it won't make a huge difference. Ginger is used as a remedy for morning sickness, so that should be OK, star anise I'm not sure about, damiana I've read is used to regulate female hormones so I might be concerned about that one depending on WHICH hormones it acts on, and licorice root is used to calm the stomach and also for it's sweet flavor.

As far as I know and can find online all of those herbs are safe… the ginger root is actually very good for upset stomach and morning sicknes… It's fine…
