Mike: vomiting and headache are not the symptoms of allergy. Allergy happens when your body misidentifies a protein and this misidentification causes a protein specific human immunoglobulin E to be produced. This IgE makes your mast cells start to produce histamine and it is the histamine that gives the symptoms of allergy.
That being said, if you get headache or nausea it means that you are sensitive and should avoid it. While being sensitive does not cause IgE to be produced, that doesn't make you feel any better…..it just means that you aren't allergic. Either way, just avoid the stuff.

This happens to me when I drink anything with artificial sweeteners or corn syrup. (Corn syrup in drinks was the first thing that I eliminated from my eating and drinking six years ago when I started to focus on being healthier.) Caffeine can also affect people that way. I like green tea, but if you can have it without a sweetener, that's better health-wise, or adding your own little teaspoon of honey is helpful. Hope things work out for you.
