I've always loved tea, but just a couple months ago, I got kinda addicted, and now I drink about 3 cups of tea a day. I know green tea has tons of benefits, but what about black tea??

Black tea has many of the same benefits that green tea has, but there are some differences:
- Black tea is more processed than green tea. This means that the beneficial antioxidants, substances that help prevent the cells from breaking down, are partially reduced because the processing involves fermentation. Some of the the antioxidants are broken down in this process. It is because of the antioxidants (mainly EGCG) that green tea is considered to have so many benefits.
- Black tea stains the teeth more than green tea, because it contains more coloring agents.
- Black tea contains more caffeine than green tea.
At any rate, drinking black tea is a healthy habit, but not quite as good for you as drinking green tea (or white tea, the healthiest tea there is).
