Does chinese oolong tea really work?

February 27th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Alright I posted my concerns at another forum asking for a quick solution to a quick weight loss. But I will recap so if you have anything else that might work.

My situation is I realize this is not going to be a permenant fix, I am just looking for something that can make me look and feel better for this weekend event that I am going to. I have started to cut back on my eating "bad food" and working out. I just need that extra boost, for this weekend. I sound like a teenager but I wanna impress this guy! :-)

Well a poster said something about chinese oolong tea, that she lost 6 pounds in 5 days, so I am wondering does this work? Is that all that I need to take for the 5 days or what?

Also I am also wanting other thoughts to other methods that could possibly work.

Please nothing rude, because like I said I realize this is not a permenant fix just something to help me feel and look better for the weekend.

Thanx in advance for the help…
She is in perfect health. Drank 6 cups a day with 3 meals. And said that it worked.

I've heard that it does help. And as usual, the fine print is also based with a healthy diet and exercise program. The ads always give the best case result so the actual average loss is closer to 2- 2.5lbs for the 5 days.

I'd say try it out with whatever else you're doing. Might be able to shed that extra pound or two.

Its not good to drown yourself in Oolong tea.
People usually drink it for its aroma and health benefits.
I take it when i have had some oily meal.

I seriously think it may damage your health if you take too much. The poster said the girl lost that much weight. Maybe she had some health problems as well?

Oolong tea is just ordinary tea. It has no "magic" weight loss effect. There are hundreds of thousands of overweight chinese who drink it daily all their lives.
