Since teas contain water, do they count as water, or does that mean plain water only? Also if we drink refrigerated water over tap water, is that ok, speaking of temperature only? I figure any water is better than none, but drinking water at room temp basically isn't as appealing, so does it really matter if water is cold or room temp? i'ver read that ice water isn't as good for you, but I think it's better than none.
So would it be ok to use lemon or lime in my water?

it is still fluid, but the 8 glasses of water a day are suppose to be just water, this is to flush out your kidneys of any toxins, the fluit may help but what is in the water such as tea, coffee, sugar drinks etc will cause the kidneys to work instead of being flushed

Friend, Tea is considered a diuretic with means its going to be absorved by your body and then will eventually be let out faster then water. Water contains minerals the keep going through your body. So in other words water is water. A doctor friend of mine once said. Fluids push fluids. Certain fluids make it push it harder. So when you drink sugar fluids it turns into to sugar in you body. When you drink teas and coffee its absorved and pushed out. Water itself its absorved and then circulated in the body.

All liquids count as water since they are basically water. Even juice. Keep in mind though that juices and soft drinks with sugar raise caloric consumption. In general, tea as coffee is diuretic, that means they actually cause water loss. So, if you drink them, you have to increase water consumption, so that your body preserve its necessary water percentage. As for the temperature of water, i have heard that it is good for your body to drink one glass of tepid water in the morning as a boost to your metabolism. Also, if you drink refrigerated water, it's means that your temperature drops and your body has to get in the process of bringing it back to normal. Generally, in diets is better to keep your temperature
up.
