I have heard green tea is good for you with antioxidants, etc, and that it is better than coffee. I know regular (black, Lipton for example) tea has caffiene, but does Green tea? Could this possibly vary from brand to brand?
Also, anyone have good luck with weight loss using green tea?
I have read the boxes and it doesn't say caffeine, but it also doesn't say caffiene free (like the herbal ones do).
I have a stomach problem and caffiene is the worst thing for me, that's why I ask.
And I am not looking to lose weight, just heard the studies going on…

green tea has a smkall amount of caffeine, white tea has even less. green tea will help with weight loss if you are also exercising, and dieting

Yes, green and white tea contain caffeine. I drink 4-5 cups of tea a day (green, white, or black) and it's made no difference in my weight. To lose pounds you'll need to cut back on calories and exercise.

Herbal teas shouldn't have caffeine, however it is always wise to read the ingredients.

I'm sure green tea does have caffeine but there are some that don't. If you begin to drink green tea, & replace it wiht soda etc daily. Yes, indeed you can see results in given months.

yes. it naturally contains caffeine. however, you can find versions without caffeine. In terms of losing weight, it can help, but not alone.

Green Tea has less caffeine than coffee and regular tea. There is also decaffeinated Green Tea available. No matter how you take your's, it is good for you!
The weight loss I've seen in regard to Green Tea comes in the form of dietary capsules. I do not know if the tea itself is enough to promote weight loss.

Yes it does. Caffeine makes you hyper, and some people believe it makes them move more, and therefore burn more calories. It's really irrelevant, and it depends on your level of activity on a daily basis. If you are a coutch potato and drink the tea, you'll still be a coutch potato that can't fall asleep at night.

All types of tea contain less caffeine than coffee.
Caffeine content is also affected by the length of the infusion in water. Black tea infused for 5 minutes yields 40-100 milligrams, whereas a 3-minute infusion produces 20-40 milligrams, or half as much. Twenty cups of green tea yield 240 milligrams, or about 12 milligrams per cup.
Because tea bags contain broken leaves of smaller size, they produce an infusion with more caffeine than loose tea does. This is also true of very fine loose tea.
I lost 12 pounds by drinking just 3 cups green tea a day for the past two months. ( I am also doing quantity control and and 3day a week excercise for 30mins)

I love drinking tea, and it is good for you. My favorite green tea is Sobe Green Tea. It is so refreshing. I totally forgot that green tea could help with weight loss. As far as caffiene goes ,not sure. I do know that Lipton makes different flavored green teas. You should just read the lables and see if there is caffiee in them.
You should call the 800 number on the box. If you have stomach probablems and need this info Im sure someone would be glad to help.

Yes it does but you can buy it in a decaffeinated form just like coffee.
