It is said that green tea helps speed up the metabolism helping you burn off calories quicker. Good luck with the diet.

Green tea never does any harm. It's full of antioxidents, which will also help to keep your body in balance, and stop you from getting sick. If you're gonna bother to drink it and want the full effect, you need to drink at least 4 cups a day.

Yes, I think. Cause, I feel like I've "washed" away the oily fats in me when I drink green tea. I don't feel bloated, but refreshed. N also the green tea taste nice….

just keep active, if you put the green tea upstairs, so you walk further each time, that would be more effective.
Sadly it is laws of physics, you need to burn more energy than you consume to loose weight.
Just stick at it and you will get there.

it will help as it contains antioxidants in it. your metabolism may or may not speed up with it.

Green tea will help speed up metabolism but it is shown to be more effective if you take it at least one hour before food.If you take it with food the tea gets absorbed by the food and is less effective .Also for it to do any good you have to drink at least 8 cups per day.The pharmaceutical companies are developing green tea capsules at the moment so that you will be able to take 1 or 2 capsules and get the effect of 8 cups of tea.

No green tea does not attribute to weight loss, and if you have kidney stones, then stop drinking tea because tea is one of the reasons people get them.http://curezone.com/cleanse/kidney/default.asp

Yes as it will increase your water intake and keep you hydrated. You should drink 2 litres a day and if your exersising you should consume at least another 500ml for every hour of exercise. An indicator to wether your drinking enough water is your pee will be very clear.
Green tea is also very beneficial as its full of anti oxidents and will work in repairing damaged cells. This is why it is recomneded and has been tested as a cancer preventative.
Green tea its self won't help you lose weight but drinking it would fill up your stomach which in turn will stave of hunger.

Nettle tea is also very good.

A pro bodybuilder and trainer called Dante (aka Doggcrapp) recommends drinking at least 2 cups of green tea daily to keep the fat off. This works wonders. I've gained so much weight once from the holiday, and I had a little "man boobs" which are gone now thanks to cardio and green tea.
green tea works really well to fat burning because it increases your metabolism. I am an ectomorph so I do have high metabolism, but green tea does even more to help me keep off the fat. I am really cut now.
The problem I got was that I had disgustingly yellow teeth stains and I had a bad smile. Many people have this smile and its not that good. If you want to really lose weight, diet is the most important. Theres this green tea supplement which is really convenient

Yes it does, but not as much as many people make out to be.
A tea weight loss study conducted Dr Dulloo in the University of Geneva found that drinking a green tea extract beverage three times a day increases energy expenditure by 4%.
Is 4% too small to make any difference?
If you burn 2,000 calorie a day, this translates to 80 calories, roughly the same amount of calories in a small banana. It is no magic bullet.
But increasing metabolism is not the only way green tea helps lose weight. It also promotes fat burning and reduces absorption and storage of fat. The sum total of these actions has not yet been quantified, but is likely to be significant.
It is not just 4%, but something greater.
It is best to drink green tea for its overall health benefits, taking weight loss as a bonus.
