i have a ton of acne on my face…..like all over, on my forehead, cheeks, and chin….it get annoying sometimes cuz i want flawless skin too…
and i've tried everything…..from clearasil, neutrogena, to ProActiv..nothing worked for me,
i later found out that i can't use products that have benzoly peroxide or salicylic acid in them cuz i'm allergic to it and it makes my acne worse….
so yeah, sucks to be me….lol…
anyways, so now i'm changing my diet, and trying herbal things…..
like from last night, i've started drinking like 2 glasses of green tea daily
and i woke up this morning, and my skin kinda feel softer, and less oily….cuz usually when i wake up in the morning, my skin is very oily.
so i'm just wondering if green tea indeed works for acne treatment…
but i am gonna stick to this routine, drinking green tea daily.

well iof you found that green tea works -keep it up. anything u think benefits it is good.
im synical though - medically acne has been proven to be of no relation to diet and no benefits shown from diet change. its to do with hormones in the body. you really shoud book in with a dermatologist. i feel your pain though
and green tea is good for lots of this including preventing cancer so rock on.

No. Acne bumps are formed when bacteria gets in your skin and the actual puss is the white blood cells fighting the bacteria. White blood cells don't stop or increase their normal production with the drinking of green tea. If you want less acne, wash your face longer and more thoroughly more often.

I drink green tea 2/3 times a day just because I love it- and its good for you. Having a cup right now actually! ^_^
I had acne pretty bad when I was a teenager. Still have very mild ance every couple months or so. I was drinking green tea all the way though, and I can't really say I noticed much affect. But then again– as I say– I was drinking it as far back as I can remember so I don't have a concrete "before" that I can compare it to.
Talk to your doctor about Accutane or a tetracycline. They're kind of the "big guns" when it comes to fixing acne. But if you seriously want a change– diet's not going to cut it. Accutane worked very well for me. But check up on the side effects etc. very well before jumping into it.

green tea is great for your skin, and acne. try 3 or more cups a day though. you cna even use the tea bag as a toner on your skin (after you're done drinking and cleaning your face leave the wet tea bag on your skin for 20min. try eliminating wheat and dairy from your diet too, as this can make acne worse

Green tea has done wonders for my skin. I stopped all dairy intake back in Feb of this year. It helped greatly; however, I would still have probably 2 or 3 at a time. I started drinking loose leaf green tea (not the cheap stuff in bags and boxes you get at the local store) last month when I came down with strep. I drink about 6 cups a day and had to switch to white tea b/c I began to have heartburn from the green tea. My face is 100% clear now (wished I could up load pics). My acne was diet related so if possible, see if you can have a food allergy test. They’re not cheap and I don’t believe insurance covers it. I order my green tea from: adagio.com. Stick with it if it’s working! I’m hooked for life!
