It's because it is a form of green tea, and green tea helps you burn off more calories.

There is a much better tea, royal energy tea by bee royal products, its an exclusive product of theirs it has green tea, pollen and something else it really helped me loose weight, I have lost 66 pounds in 5 months what I do is take their fresh royal jelly in the morning with a smoothie shake and bee pollen , then for lunch a yogurt with bee pollen sprinkled in it and an apple. around 3pm a granola bar, in between I drink the royal energy tea then a sensible lean / green dinner and I feel fantastic. I love the quality and the results I have gotten with bee royal its a great product line.

It doesn't help you lose weight. It does provide you with valuable anti-oxidants that fight free radicals which are factors for some premature aging and other degenerating diseases. It does contain small amounts of ECGC which is associated with weight loss, but the amount in tea is so small you wont notice any significant change. It may actually dehydrate you or give you diarrhea if you drink to much or are taking some other sort of caffeine based thermogenic, so basically stick with diet and exercise for weight loss.
