Dose green tea control appetite?

March 30th, 2008 · 8 Comments

I ran out of Black Tea the other day, so I decided to try some green tea a friend gave to me as a gift. I have been drinking about 3 cups a day (the same amount as the black tea) and I have noticed a huge decrease in the amount of food I eat and my hunger I am almost always hungry. I take the tea with no sugar or milk.

I just wanted to know if any one had any information or a simmiler experince. I have googled it, but I get a lot of contradicting information.

Thanks a lot : )

It's recommended that you drink 3 cups per day to assist weight loss as it drains the toxins from your system and helps with water retention. It helps to fill you up and it's really healthy. Drinking it in the morning can help jump-start your metabolism!

I took green tea supplements just to control my appetite because like you I was always hungry, They are in the weight loss section just for that specific thing and it worked very well for me. Very normal!!

I admire that you can drink so much of it without any sugar or cream. I need it to be sweet and creamy to enjoy it, but am trying to drink more myself! I hope I am not defeating the purpose, but it is so unenjoyable without the 'extras.'
      Keep it up!

it merely gives me more energy to burn at the gym with more sweat minus the discomfrt…doesnt help much with appetite control..if i take more than a cup a day it will cause insomnia
