Decaffeinated if it is after dinner–you don't want to have trouble sleeping. The caffeine isn't the beneficial part of green tea. Otherwise, drinking coffee or soda would be recommended for losing weight.

Well, Green Tea is a very good antioxidant and can cleanse your system…. it doesn't make you lose weight specifically. There are a LOT of other natural products that actually work to help you reduce your weight, not just help you cleanse (which won't do more than a pound or two a month, and that's if you have a lot of build up)… and cleanses won't help you lose weight after you've cleansed all the toxins out.

That being said, if your body is cleansed out, it can actually help you reduce your weight on your own. A clean system can have a higher metabolism, can absorb nutrients better, can eliminate toxins easier, and many other things that may help…. but there are a lot of more efficient cleansers out there, too (I personally think Green Tea is just one that people feel safer with because they know it).

As far as the caffeine, it's a personal choice. I don't like taking caffeine within a few hours of going to bed or I have trouble sleeping. I'd go with decaf after dinner or either during the day.

It is a myth that green tea can reduce weight.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

I would say try drinking regular green tea (that is, not decaffeinated), after dinner and see if it causes you any trouble when trying to get to sleep.
If it does, then switch to decaffeinated after dinner.

either work just as well. I have to drink the decaffinated kind because I get terrible migraines from all the caffeine in the other haha
