Getting tea stains out of my white Cotton t-shirt?
I’ve found a cotton t-shirt that i’d like to wear again, only thing is it has, a BIG tea stain down the front. I’d like to wear it to the reading festival T O M O R R O W.
Is there anyway I can get it out?
We don’t have any stain removing things!

Just rub some dirt on it…

The best things I’ve found to get tea stains out are OxyClean and bleach (but don’t use them together!). You can get both fairly cheaply at any grocery/discount store. Lestoil is also an effective stain remover.

I have had great results when I soak in oxiclean, It doesn’t hurt any fabric, whites or colors.
This is what I do for stains;
It takes out most every stain, in an hour to three days.
dissolve 1/2 cup oxiclean powder in some hot water, in a bucket or large bowl. Add enough water so the item can soak. Add cold water after the oxiclean is dissolved when the item should not be in hot water. Let soak till the stain is gone.
Each day Refresh the oxiclean and water. By draining the water and making a new mixture.
I got hair dye and yellowing from age as well as under arm stains out, just to name a couple tough stains that can be gotten out!
A lot of fresh stains will come out just by spraying with a Pine-sol and water mixture.

Hey, I’m in the same situation as you as I’ve got a really big & nasty stain on my white Adidas t-shirt. I also don’t have any stain removing things, but just searched a bit in google how to remove tea stains on cotton and found some good results. The best one ( and it’s actually the one that I’m trying at the moment) is to add about 3 glasses of vinegar and a glass of water to some plastic bucket and then put your stained shirt surface inside. Then you have to wait a bit ( I gave it 15 min. or so), and take out the shirt and put some granules of salt on it. Then start rubbing the stain gently between your fingers until the stain goes away. In case it still stays on, put the shirt in the “vinegar bucket” again , wait and do the rubbing with salt after. I did this procedure about 30 min. ago, an the stains are slowly dissapearing, considering I got them almost a month ago & had no time to do it earlier. The best advice is as soon as you got the stain, you’ve gotta use the aforementioned method.
anyways, good luck to you and your shirt !!!
