So lately I have been thinking about going on a green tea diet to loose some weight. Just simply drinking nothing but green tea with no sweetener, and not eating anything.
Does anyone think this will work?
Green tea is suppose to speed up your metabolism, so my metabolism wont slow down right?
Can someone please give me some input.
Thank you
:]

Probably will work but results will only last while you are on it. I'd avoid crash diets but if you are really that desperate I'd suggest the juice one. (Google it)
Otherwise I suggest eating your vegetables and doing some HIIT. (Google that too)
Hope this works for you! =D

i think it's funny how people write "10 pts to best answer"
….really? i was expecting you to reward the person who gave you a useless answer. Thanks you elaborating on that.
And yes, you will most certainly lose weight, but i would advice against doing so. It will be an incredibly difficult thing to solely drink green tea, and once you break your fast you will binge on a large amount of calories, often times gaining more weight that you started with. This happens frequently with people who attempt a fast. Instead just add green tea to your diet. Replace all of your liquids with GT. and also think about cutting back on calories and increasing your workout.

I hate to burst your bubble, but by the 3rd or 4h day you won't be able to continue with it.
Your body needs certain food groups to give you energy and keep your bodily functions going.
A well balanced diet including good proteins like chicken breast mixed with fruits vegetables, grains/oats, and essential "good" fats such as peanut butter and olive oil.
If you are trying to slim down, try and go to the gym a couple times a week and work on some cardio such as treadmill and stairmaster. That mixed with some mild lifts with 5-10 lb. weights and ab excersises should get you slim in no time, and you could always drink green tea throughout the day but make sure you eat during every meal, your body needs the nutrients and green tea can only give you antioxidants.

First of all, I don't think anyone would recommend that you "not eat anything." In fact, that's a diet plan that's guaranteed to fail.
Secondly, you should try a green tea diet supplement as they usually contain much higher concentrations of active ingredients. For example, each serving of Ultra Green Tea Lean contains 300 mg of polyphenols and 125 mg of EGCG, which is equal to about 30 cups of regular green tea!
Hope that helps. Good luck with your diet!
