So I've heard that green tea is good to use to help lose weight. Like it flushes out your system and such so I just had a few questions about that.
1. Does it actually help you lose weight and if so how?
2. Is there a certain amount you're supposed to drink?
3. Does it still work if you mix it with other kinds of tea?
4. Does it work if it's decaffeinated?
Answers to any of the questions would be great!

Most of that is a myth. However, green tea will suppress your apatite. Also, if you are suffering from elevated cortisol levels, (which make you gain fat) it can help reduce those effects, allowing you to lose/stop gaining fat. Do not get decaffeinated. no matter what they say, it removes some of the necessary components of the herbs. Several cups a day is best, mix it in anything you want!

yes deffinately, it does tremendously for your body you should have a certain amount of caffeine every day anyways. i would say 2 servings a day would be good . i wouldnt mix it with other kinds tho. it will have less affect on your body when it comes to weight because caffeine speeds up your heart rate the faster your hearyt is going the more calories you burn. But just like anything else you need to have a good diet and need to excercise regularely.

what I'VE heard is that green tea is filling, and yummy, so you don't feel like you have to eat/drink anything else. that might not be true, though, i don't think it would hurt to try it.
i like mint tea.

Yes you can lose weight drinking green tea. 6 cups a day is a good amount, which is good for burning approximately 80 calories.
I would drink evenly through the day. A good rule of thumb is to substitute your coffee or AM drink, your soda at lunch and your dinner drink with an 8 ounce glass of DIET or unsweetened green tea. I prefer arizona.
It should not be the only thing you do for losing weight. There are several types of green tea, primarily Sencha and Gyokuro. The difference between the two lies in the way they are grown. Sencha is a higher grade tea grown in full sun; Gyokuro is grown in full shade. This article was very useful to me when deciding to use green tea as part of my diet. I hope you find it useful as well.
