Has anybody heard about the Wu-Yi weightloss tea?

February 27th, 2008 · 6 Comments

I was looking around on it's page and it didn't really tell me anything other than "This is China's weight loss secret for 400 years and it will guarantee weight loss" and all that normal stuff.

I was wondering what's actually IN it that helps you to lose weight. I can understand it having nutrients as most tea does, but that doesn't really do anything that really contributes to weight loss.

I THINK it's tea, the page i looked at wasn't very clear on what, exactly, it was.

Has anybody tried this?? Any success??

It's been dismissed as a fraudulent product!

it's 100% pure bullshit, made from concentrate. because not many people are well-versed in traditional chinese herbalism, they're using people's ignorance to sell it. don't fall for it!

I looked at it, and it says that Oprah said it's the "key to weight loss." The only thing it looks to me is its just tea they're trying to pass off as a weight-loss product.

Fairly common blend of green tea. Now green tea is good for you, but it's 3 bucks a box, Celestial Seasons makes a good one.

Stop me if I told you this, a good weight loss trick I've used is to drink a glass or two of soy milk before meals. The protein reduces appetite and the fiber makes you feel more full. And the stuff is better for you than regular milk. It DOES take getting used to.

      LATER

whoops, it's oolong, not green tea.

http://hubpages.com/hub/The_Truth_About_Wu-Yi_Tea has a good write up on it. As well as soy milk, switching to SOME sort of tea and away from soda might be a good idea too.

Yes tea is good for you, but it is no secret that you have to start eating healty along with exercise to actually lose weight. I’m an expert only because I’ve had to do what I just stated. There is no wonder herbal tea that will make you shed 50 pounds in 4 months. If you read any of these diet pills, herbs, or even fitness equipment they all say with proper diet as well as the exercise you are guarenteed to lose weight. Well DUH!! Maybe I’ll start selling oranges as a proven 4 million year old weight loss secret, with the proper diet and exercise you can lose weight eating oranges, hell even chocolate cake if you are exercising enough to burn it off. Don’t buy into this garbage. Change your lifestyle, that is the secret. I had to learn to stop eating like a kid, and get off my ass and actually exercise a little. Everyone wants a “diet” miracle, but no one wants to hear exercise, and everyone is too busy for exercise. I have two kids and a job and I make time for it, I’ve cut out the sitting on my ass TV time and traded it for exercise time. That’s just how it is if you want to lose weight and be healthy doing it. Starving or weight loss “miracles” advertised on TV or online are not the ticket.

Yeah, butt exercise is required too, remember that. Good luck!
