I lovvvve drinking tea, allll kinds. I want to be a tea aficianado of sorts… Anyone know any good links or articles where I can learn everything about all different kinds of teas? Kinda odd I know, but I appreciate it!

Herbal teas are good for you
Some may be but others could be harmful. Many people who want to adopt healthier eating habits begin to drink herbal teas. Often they are seeking a more integrated approach to health, therapeutics and nutrition. This approach has a strong historical basis and it is very much a part of food culture in China, India and the Middle East.
Herbal teas have been used as tonics and for a variety of therapeutic purposes since early times. Of the many varieties of herbal tea, some may be beneficial, some may not do anything, and others may be potentially hazardous to health. Some herbal teas do contain substances that have medicinal properties. Whether they are medicinally effective or not when taken in the form of a herbal tea depends on factors such as whether or not the active ingredients are extracted during infusion, their concentration and the amount of tea consumed. Herbal teas such as mint, rose hip, blackberry, raspberry and citrus have been consumed safely for many years.
However, herbal teas that have been identified as being potentially harmful include:
pennyroyal oil, which has been used to induce menstruation and abortion;
comfrey, which when fed to laboratory animals has caused cancer;
chamomile flower heads, which may cause contact dermatitis;
sassafras root bark, which contains a known cancer producing substance;
marigold tea, which may cause allergy-like response in some people.
The historical consumption of many varieties of herba tea offers some guidance as to their effect and safety but it is not a guarantee. As a general matter of prudence, herbal teas, particularly those of unknown composition and origin, should be consumed in moderation.

There are four (only four) kinds of tea: Black Tea, Green Tea, White Tea, and Oolong Tea. The difference between them is the degree of processing/refinement after the leaves or leaf buds are harvested. All true teas are from the same plant (Camellia sinensis).
There are many other good, tasty, popular, and even healthy tea-like drinks. If it is not one of these four - it is processed/refined from the leaves or roots of some other plant (usually an Herb) and is rightly called an herbal tea.
What we find in the tea section of our supermarkets are either:
1) one of the four true teas,
2) one of these four with flavorings added, or
3) herbal teas.
Since there are so many herbal teas; and they come from a wide variety of plant (herb) sources, and undergo a variety of harvesting and processing processes - no one simple statement can be made about the taste or the health benefits/risks of herbal teas.

All i know about tea is the. English drink with toast or crumpets .And if they dont have it it can bring the whole of the British and the European engineering work force to its knees (Let sleeping dogs lie on that one) I was gunna ask about tea and tiffin but thought better of it because i would of got blamed for the khyber pass:)
