July 9th, 2008 · 9 Comments

Green Tea is supposed to help you lose weight and I'd really like that! (No I'm not fat just un-happy with my appearance) The only problem is that it tastes like ICK in plain words! How can I IMPROVE the taste without changing the calories by more than like 5? And if that's not possible is there another alternative that tastes better and works JUST as well!? PLZ HELP ME!!

you cant. the more you drink the better it will get. i added a splenda to mine and had to drink it hot. the warmer it was the less you can taste it.

Add lemon, stevia (tastes like sugar but all natural and good for you) or cranberry juice. There are also numerous sugar-free syrups available in a ton of different flavors (some people use them in coffee or protein shakes). Try a couple of different flavors and see what you like - I'm sure you'll make something delicious!

Edited to add: there are Green Tea vitamins available if you really hate the tea. I take them every day.

you should leave the tea bag in for 3 minutes because too long makes it taste bad and too short a time is not long enough for the flavour to be absorbed.

also you might not be a green tea person
      try black tea

also use imitation sugar if you want a sweet taste but still have good things. remember a little sugar is ok. TOO MUCH IS BAD

A recent study showed that adding lemon juice or lime juice actually stabilized the antioxidants in the tea making it better for you. Also, the lemon juice will add some potassium that your body needs anyway. Add a little splenda or honey for sweetness. You can also add some crystal light or sugar free Kool Aid once it has cooled.
