How is fermentation done to produce black tea?

July 26th, 2008 · No Comments

It is said that to produce black tea from the Camellia sinensis plant, the procedure would be the same in producing green tea, with only the process of the so-called "fermentation" as the main difference between the production of the two teas. This fermentation, according to sources, is not actually the fermentation wherein we will produce yeast. It talks about a different kind of fermentation.
In my question, I am asking for the specific methods and materials needed to "ferment" the tea leaves, considering the the labor needed and the accuracy of the experiment, with respect to the present condition of my country, the Philippines, where monetary value is the 1st to be considered.
Thank you.
