Green tea varieties usually have about a third as much caffeine as a regular brown (black) tea. Depending on the type of green tea (japanese, chinese … which is all about different processing, some of them are fired and then rolled, some not) it can vary a few gramms a cup.
if it is much of concern - stick to decaf.

I don't know about all teas, but I am reading on a box of Lipton Green Tea now. It says that per 8oz. serving drip coffee has 100mg., black tea has 40mg., green tea has 40mg., decaf has 4mg., and herbal has 0mg. If your heart is racing then you may be getting too much caffeine. Try the caffeine free flavored herbal teas, they are really good.

The link below discusses caffeine and provides a caffeine level comparison chart. Scroll down a little and check it out…
Enjoy your green tea (and black and white and oolong)!
