gas stove and let the tea and water sit on the gas fire. The tea looks green and mixed in so i assume that it is ready. It tastes kinna blanned though, i filled the tea pot to about a 3rd. Isn't green tea supposed to taste kinda blanned and a kinda water down, slight flavored taste to it or did i cook the tea-water mixture wrong?

Depending on whether bag or leaves, your preparation of tea will vary. I suggest putting the leaves in a cup, pour your hot water inside the cup. On the other hand, take the bag and place in the cup pouring the hot water in.
Green tea is a great beverage - I hope you enjoy it!!

People normally use tea leaves to make green tea - not a 'mixture'.
If your product is a powder, it's either meant to be used as a flavouring in cooking, or it's the posh stuff for 'tea ceremony' tea. If it's the 'posh' stuff then it's supposed to have a finished texture that's something like swamp water - thickish and unpleasant!
If you've got leaves then you just need to use about 2 teaspoons of leaves for a small oriental teapot - about the size of a fairly large mug.
BTW, don't let the tea sit on the stove cooking - you add water that has boiled and been allowed to cool for a couple of minutes. You don't BOIL tea, you'll ruin it!
