A question to the health and fitness people?
I am 6'00 even
weigh 160 pounds
I just want to get cut and in shape before I start to work out.
does anyone think this is a good idea? Do you think this is healthy?

possibly, running is actually a poor way to achieve body recomposition
human's are made to adapt though, once your body adapted to the 7 miles you'd stop seeing much improvements
you'd want to vary the runs…..performing sprints, hill runs, distance runs, speed runs
and you DON'T run to get in shape as its very hard on your body
you train to run
the first is what leads to people injuring themselves thinking….oh, I ran as a kid how hard could it be?….ahhhh very
and anyone that say's oh look at marathoners and you'll see skinny people? guess what lots of overweight people complete marathons each year

no. you can’t just all of a sudden one day run 7 miles. The next day you’ll be REALLY sore and you won’t be able to run the next day. Start with maybe 1 and 1/2 miles and then go up from there. but don’t all of a sudden start running 7 miles for sure!

It sounds like a pretty solid diet plan to me. As long as you’re not eating bad, fattening foods, then you should be ok with that amount of exercise.
