I quit drinking pop and im starting to get sick of water. today i tryed liptons diet green tea with mixed berry and i thought that is was pretty good. so i want to know if it would be good to start drinking green tea and if drinking the diet kind would have any bad effects that diet pop does like retaining water.

green tea is good for you, well the caffeine isnt great but its better than a cup of coffee or regular teas. Green teas contain anti-oxidants which are awesome for your health. i say, DRINK UP:)

Congrats on dumping the soda habit.
Green tea is a good source of antioxidants and is good for weight loss (if that is one of your concerns)
I do not know about the water retention aspect of the diet kind of green tea but I would *think* not since as I said, green tea is used by many for weight loss.

Drinking tea is MUCH better than drinking pop or coffee! Although, one coffee a day is not bad for you! Green tea has lots of benefits, but I'm not sure on all of them! I'm not sure diet tea is bad for you the way diet soda is. But you'll need to check the ingredients for things like "sugar" and "artificial sweetener."
Hope this helps!

You could compare the ingredients of the diet soda and diet green tea. If they are similar, aspartame for sweetness etc. then it will probably affect you the same.
I started quiting soda almost two years ago, now soda and artificially sweetened drinks are too sweet for me.
I love brewed Tazo Zen green tea, it's good hot and cold, and tastes best with little or no sugar.
I've gotten used to taking sun brewed tea with me, it's good, good for me, and much cheaper than artificial drinks. A great habit!

try to just drink green tea without any flavors or any type of sugar it'll be a very good habit to start your day with it.
