The question is under debate by several studies. The main thing to take home is that if it did, it doesn't do so by much. If you were to start drinking green tea, it would be more useful to do so for the antioxidants and other health benefits that it offers. Plus, drinking tea in place of snacking might be helpful for weightloss.

2) Increases metabolism
3) Improves resting stage in sleep
4) Improves digestion of food if taken after meals
