Is there a difference between black cohosh tea and pills?

I have been reading that black cohosh tea can help ripen the cervix. My question has to do with the difference between the tea and the pills. Will the pills have the same effect as the tea? I have only been able to find the pills in stores.

      pills are better cuz if you want that same dosage in tea you have to drink a lot. just check online what dosage they want you to take. if you do the tea, the only thing you will probably accomplish is a lot of peeing

      i drank several pots of tea each day during my last week - within 3 days i delivered FAST - only 3 hours of labor.
