I’m 8 months pregnant and I was wondering if it would be safe to drink Lipton’s herbal tea in their herbal collection? Their ingredients are: hibiscus flowers, roasted chicory root, cloves, licorice root, peppermint leaves, rose hips, ginger root, coriander, lemon grass, chamomile flowers, and roasted carob. Are any of these dangerous?

Nope, these herbs are not dangerous. I have drank the tea with no problem when I was prego. I researched all the herbs and they will not cause any problems for you. Don’t listen to the people who say ANY or ALL herbs are bad for you during pregnancy. Drink up!

You are right to be careful with herbal tea. I know that ginger tea isn’t recommended, but I am not sure about all other ingridients.I know these are safe:hibiscus flowers, cloves, peppermint leaves, rose hips, coriander, lemon grass, chamomile flowers.

Ok here’s the thing that really gets me burning. These doctors tell you not to eat this or drink that, but they give xanax, vicodin, and other these other really bad drugs to women while pregnant. I can understand raw meat and things like that, but i live by the rule…everything in moderation. If you drink 8 cups in a day then YEA…ubber bad. But honestly if you want it and there is no chance of salmonella or anything else like that go for it. And don’t let these frickin doctors make you feel bad because GOD FORBID you gain more than the recommended 27 pounds…PLEASE PEOPLE! This is the one time in a woman’s life where we can get fat for a reason LET US BE…sorry got off on a rant.
