Oolong or Wu long Tea?

February 27th, 2008 · 6 Comments

is there a difference in them? It was recommended for weight loss but i dont know if it takes a special diet or not? Does it matter on the brand of tea you buy? If anyone can help….I would greatly appreciated. =]

Oolong is the best green tea. Go to a tea shop and get the leaves. Use a tea bell.

oolong is better but is isnt green tea. It is oolong tea. It is half fermented (not really fermented but baked) and green tea isn't fermented at all. Oolong is the best tea. I cant name any brands just dont buy cheap tea. Cheap tea is garbage.

Oolong is just the old spelling, Wu Long is the Pinyin spelling, they are the same thing. It's not a brand of tea, it's a special method of preparing the tea-leaves.

wu long is a type of oolong tea. Oolong is a certain overall class of tea leaves to describe how much how much they are oxidized. the way I understand it, Wu long is just from a certain area of china and is used to distinguish that type of oolong tea. It's all the same and give the same health benefits.

They are the same thing! Oo Long is the way western folks would called it, while Wu Long is the Hanyu pin yin form, anyway just 2 different ways of writing.

Chinese tea aids in digesting the fat contents in your food intake and asians have been known to drink tea after a hearty meal to balance their diet.

Taking chinese tea in moderation does improves one health, although I would strongly recommend a nutristionist to work it out for you on the diet plan. They probably have something comprehensive.

Hmm…on the diet stuff, I am too trying it out. Break your meals into smaller but more portions. Have 5 small meals rather than 3 big ones.

Drink enough water, some tea and eat plenty of fruits!

All the best on your diet!
