I drink three cups of oolong tea a day. I started out drinking it because I was told it would aid in loosing weight. Well, I've amazingly lost 10 pounds in close to two months! But, now I've fallen into a routine of drinking this delicious tea. I don't need to loose anymore weight, are there any other benifits of drinking Oolong tea?

The benefits of drinking Oolong tea are:
i) reduces the chances of getting cancer,
ii) it controls the blood cholesterol and high blood pressure,
iii) it lowers the blood sugar,
iv) suppresses aging, and
v) reduce cavities.
However, there is still caffeine content in the tea. So drink moderately. Caffeine is a substance of controversy. It is a stimulant. It might help body in some ways and not in others.

I don't know that it has benefits beyond those already associated with drinking all sorts of regular tea. Oolong tea actually refers more to the amount of fermentation that an actual tea- it's fermentation level is between a green tea and a fully fermented black tea. There are also many different varieties and it's grown in lots of different places- each has an effect on the taste of the final end product, including how it is dried and fermented. Oolong is also at least one of the types blended into the everyday tea blends we drink both hot and cold. You can get pure oolong tea, of course, but it's usually hard to be absolutely certain which oolong you are getting unless you are a tea expert. So the oolong brand you like now may be slightly different next year, and the oolong you drink in one restaurant or from a different company may also taste different. They may all still be technically oolong, but they are not the same. As far as health benefits, all teas offer antioxidants, and are supposed to be associated with extending life, or increasing health. That's been said of tea for a long time, ever since they discovered that the folks who drank tea were healthier than those who didn't. I'm not sure that we can ever truly say much other than it tastes good, and it is better for you than say soda or too much alcohol. But I don't really think it has any magical qualities, and it won't mysteriously melt the pounds off you or anything like that. It's not a cure all, although it certainly is pleasant to drink a nice cuppa and relax. At least it's not addictive, fattening, or other kind of objectionable vice- so even if it's not doing anything specifically good for me, at least it's not doing anything bad.

Congratulate for the weight loss! Well done.
Oolong tea is not just for losing weight. Like green tea, it's associated with quite a few health benefits.
It's has been found to promote heart health by reducing triglycerides, cholesterols and atherosclerosis.
It's also good for people suffering from eczema, diabetes and high blood pressure.
