I bought two bags of Wu-long loose leaf tea from a local Asian food mart yesterday. I've tried it before and liked it, but didn't see a huge difference health wise. I also paid WAY more for it on-line! This stuff I bought yesterday must be more potent … I have NO appetite whatsoever - couldn't even finish my lunch. My energy level is great and I haven't had any coffee today. I know that the tea does have caffeine in it, but it must not be enough to give me the jitters. I made a full liter of tea to drink throughout the day. Try to avoid boiling the water when making up the tea. You want to preserve as many antioxidants that you can, and boiling anything destroys much of the health benefits. So far, I love it and feel great! OH - the other thing that I notice is that I have no more heartburn … it's been chronic for about a month now - really making me feel yucky. I haven't needed to take any tums, pepcid or prilosec- yeah

Oolong tea contains more polyphenols than black or green tea. Polyphenols are powerful antioxidants that protect you against different health problems and diseases. Besides they enhance the metabolism to speed up weight loss and improves overall skin tone. A cup of oolong tea has nearly 50% less caffeine than a cup of coffee. Oolong tea or wu-long tea was discovered in the Fukien region of China. It is a fruity and medium-flavored tea and has the combined properties of black and green teas.
