There are numerous benefits to drinking green tea and it is a great thing to add to your diet. If you want it with ginseng, you can, but just normal green tea is what holds the benefits. It has been shown to be an antioxidant as well and helps to lower LDL.
It helps you lose weight in the sense that it is a healthy drink for you, it doesn't have the empty calories of soda, drinking it with a meal will help you eat smaller portions (as does water). I would suggest googling the benefits of green tea, beacuse there is a lot to mention. It has been shown to speed metabolism as well, but as you exercise and eat right, your metabolism will increase anyways.
Green tea itself is not a diuretic, caffeine is. So if you drink green tea that isn't decaffinated, it will probably make you pee, yes. There is less caffeine in green tea than in coffee though.
