Teas contain a number of ingredients that have an influence on the human body. The quantities and percentages of these ingredients differ widely depending on the extent of fermentation. As can be seen from the table below, green tea contains a wealth of one ingredient called catechin while black tea contains a lot of theaflavin. Oolong tea contains a large quantity of polyphenol. According to research, it has become clear that polyphenol is the ingredient that generates the delicious flavor unique to oolong tea and also promotes beauty and health.

Like white and green teas, oolong has many health benefits to offer. This tea has proven to destroy free radicals, which are known to cause certain cancers and even aging of the skin. A list of benefits include:

    A stronger immune system

    Healthy teeth

    Younger looking skin

    Aids in weight loss

Now while weight loss seems to be the most common benefit associated with wu long tea that I have come across, the above list gives us more insight .

Chinese tea. It’s good for fat removal.
It can be drink with a fatty meal to reduce fat from absorbing. But I don’t think it’ll make you lose weight already on your body just from drinking the tea.

My own experience. When I was a few pounds fatter, a cup of Oolong tea would decrease my appetite for carbs.

There’s an expensive variety of Oolong–Wu Yi–that’s being marketed for fat loss. I have no idea if it’s more effective than the Oolong that you can buy in the supermarket.

I enjoy the taste of Oolong more than that of green tea and of ‘black’ tea (like Lipton).
