Green, black, white, and oolong tea all come from the same plant. The difference is in processing — known as oxidation of the leaves.
In order of how oxidized, white tea is the least oxidized; followed by green tea, which is not extensively oxidized. Oolong tea can be oxidized to varying degrees and may more closely resemble green or black tea (the most oxidized), depending upon degree of oxidation. Black tea is the most oxidized.
