I have been looking at a lot of recipes but they don't specify which brand they use. Matcha tea is not sold in the local stores here. I can only think of ebay to buy it off. If anyone has made these, please let me know which brand you bought and from which store.

There are 2 types of matcha- koicha and usucha.
The pure dried leaves (tencha) are then stone ground into a super fine powder that is the consistency of talc. Matcha is uniquely Japanese.
High grade gyokuro from Uji. Netto Gyokuro has a wonderful naturally sweet aroma and a crisp flourish.
They are available in health food store, or Japanese store.
