Herbal teas can be bad for you if they interact negatively with any medicine, vitamins or supplements you might be taking. Certain herbal teas can also be bad if you're pregnant as certain herbs could affect the development of the fetus. Certain herbs, even in teas, can also exacerbate medical conditions and allergies.

So it's always best to stick with simple herbal teas such as chamomile, mint, rose hip, echinacea, china rose, cat nip, willow bark and the like. These are most often found pre-packaged at the grocery store or herbal shop. You can't really go wrong with the pre-packaged types of teas, unless of course you have a severe allergy to the herbs used.

If you want to take specialty or more complex herbal teas such as those containing valerian, mugwort, burdock root, buckthorn, ragwort, comfrey (very dangerous) or any of the more complex herbs, you should speak with an experienced, certified herbalist or a doctor to make sure that you take the correct dosage and that it won't interact with any medicine, vitamins or supplements you may be taking AND that it won't cause any ill effects to you due to medical conditions you might have.

Steer clear of detoxing teas that make the bowels move. Only use occasionally, as persitent use strips you of minerals which will make you feel might bad!

i agree with SUROJABO .. but also keep in mind that sugar ,lemon or other additives change the natural properties of herbals……..
