I know there are alot of places on the net but so far they have all been really pricey. I've bought loose leaf from local chinese grocery stores at a decent price, but they've all been really old and i'm not sure that i'm getting decent quality.

natural food grocer is probably your best bet. Google tea houses in your area, if they dont sell the tea, they can get you in contact with their vendor perhaps?

well, you could look into Island Tea on ebay. i have bought a few teas from them and found it to be pretty good. check it out anyhoo.
