I am getting married in Sept (2nd for me) and looking for a champagne or off white tea length informal wedding, cant seem to find one I like. Either too drab or too fancy. I am having a small intimate wedding with about 40 guests. I dont want to spend alot either. Any suggestions??
I am in the Phoenix Arizona area and been checking Dillards,Macy's and Norstroms but nothing has excited me as of yet.

I had a friend find a dress in the bridal section of a local shop. It was not a "bride's dress" just a very elegant tea length gown. You just have to go and look, and make sure you have plenty of time. Don't forget the shoes!

I would check out J.Crew. They have really affordable, comfortable, simple bridesmaid dresses that could be used for a casual wedding dress.

I would go to a wedding dress salon, they would have something there to help you or at least be able to give you suggestions as to where you can find a dress like you describe. Good luck and have a happy wedding.

After having a similar problem with trying to find a wedding dress that wasn't too "wedding dress", I came on Yahoo! Answers… and lo and behold, someone recommended to search for a bridesmaid dress from Bari Jay!
I am happy to say that I am getting married in a lovely white dress that's not too "wedding dress", and only cost me $173 (expensive for a bridesmaid, just right for me.)
So I am passing on that recommendation to you…
