Hey everyone…
I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my second child [finally!!!] and had a question. I read in my pregnancy week-to-week book that drinking green tea before and during pregnancy is bad, because it blocks the absorption of folic acid [or something like that]…I was wondering if anyone knew if white or red tea was safe. I loooove tea, but I'm looking for alternates to black tea because of the caffeine, and green because of the side effects while pregnant. It's no biggie if I can't drink any tea at all, but I do enjoy a cup every now and again and just wanted to ask before I did any harm to my unborn baby. I do plan on asking my ob/gyn at my first appt. in 2 weeks, but I thought I'd ask in case any of you knew the answer. Thanks!
