Occasionally I'd add a bit of milk and/or sugar, but I always feel even more thirsty after having tea. It doesn't happen if I have coffee.

When you drink, you almost "trick your body" into thinking you're not thirsty, so it stops producing spit.

Could be a couple reasons:
1. You are squeezing the tea leaves, which releases tannins. Tannins make tea "dry", sort of like dry wine. Ifyou feel thirsty while drinkign tea or immediately after, this si shwy. Solution: Quit squeezing or pressing the tea leaves.
2. Black tea contains caffeine. Caffeine is a mild diuretic, which makes you pee more than normal, which can dehydrate you a bit. If you feel thirsty a couple hours after drinkign tea, this could be the reason. Solution: switch to decaf.

The tea has a substance called tanin in it. It tricks your taste buds into thinking that you have a mouthful of saliva , so it shuts down the glands. When you breathe the air drawn in and out dries your mouth.

When you drink caffeinated beverages like regular coffee, tea and sodas it _-DEHYDRATES-_ you! Try just drinking WATER instead! zero calories and carbs!
