Hey guys I am a college student and am just getting into green tea. I have been using FOOJOY green tea bags and steeping them in water from my faucet that I boil in the microwave. I have been letting the bags steep for about three minutes and have been waiting a minute to let the water cool after it boils. I am wondering if it is the quality of water from my faucet. Anyone else have this problem? Shouldn’t GREEN tea be GREEN not BROWN!?
Actually, given the fact that when others make green tea it turns out green or light yellow, god didn't intend for it to be brown. Nice try though.

Try a different brand or use water from a bottle. Since your a college student I’d assume that you live in a suburban area where water quality is below average, especially if you want to drink it. There could also be copper in your pipes? It’s a common problem and copper would darken the tea.. Good luck.
