I didnt know about this. And I have been drinking a lot of herbal passion tea because its decaf and has no sugar. But Now I am really concerned because I see from previous answers that pregnant women shouldnt drink herbal tea. I'm already in 6 month and I'm worried now.

Just be careful that you are NOT drinking anything with cohosh in it!!! That is an herb that can cause preterm labor. That is probably why. Hope this helps. I almost forgot to write in here - CONGRATS Mom!!!!

Just because something is "decaf" doesn't mean that it's not caffinated. It simply means that it has less caffine than a regular caffinated drink. Decaf beverages still contain caffine.

Alot of herbs actually have dangerous qualities to them … herbs are not controlled by the FDA. Just because they're "natural", doesn't mean that they're healthy for you … and some of them might react badly with the vitamins/medications that your OB/gyn has you on now…

I think it depends on what herbs are used on the tea. Some herbal teas maybe perfectly fine depending on the incredients. But some herbs can cause miscarriage, like hibiscus or raspberry tea leaves.
Here's an article the includes a discussion on teas that are safe and teas to stay away from.

Many herbs have abortificent properties - that is, they may cause miscarriage. Others may cause birth defects.
Although it is usually felt that the amount of herbs in ordinary cooking and herbal teas is not enough to cause this, doctors say to err on the side of caution and have no herbs at all during pregnancy.
As most if not all herbs are untested clinically, the safest option is just to give up herbs during pregnancy and breast feeding.
